porkchop's christmas.

grandpa doczy and his dog tyler sent a package addressed to "porkchop and his buddies". we thought we'd let ol'chop open his gift early since that has been the trend around here this year. however.... del ray, being a possessive nut, must have mis-read the address label. i bet he thinks this post is about him.



gift opening was completed with my assistance. lots of goodies including bacon strips and steak treats. choppy, being his gracious and forgiving self, continues to share the wealth with ALL his doggie friends, including his vain little brother, del ray.

goin to ohio.

i just got back from ohio for a visit with my dad & company. lots of good doggie/cat time. tyler remembered us and wouldn't leave our side. and jason made a friend for life in mr biggz. celebrated my birthday a few days early. and inherited my step-grandmother nana's sewing legacy (sewing cabinets, machines, patterns, fabric, and so much more). i feel so honored to be in possession of these beautiful items. and the wooden cabinets were all hand made by my step-grandpa carroll.

visit from ohio.

my dad stopped by the rook farm this weekend. he brought copies of porkchop's new books hot off the presses. porkchop did an impromptu book signing. del ray was outfitted with john deere apparel. and baby snakes made a new friend.

what's wrong with me?

for memorial day, jason, amber and i drove up to ohio to visit the doczy estate. i discovered two things about myself on this journey: 1. i am a lush. 2. i take more pictures of animals then family. which is also evident from the lack of people pictures from this weekend when we attended the annual rook family reunion.

ohio.

spent the last weekend visiting my dad and company (stepmom, sis, bro, papa, and many furry critters). ate lots of food. drank lots of wine. went to an old-fashioned christmas parade. learned what a buckeye is. and finally met my two nephews (mugz & frank).
