opening.

i have four new black & white photos on display at the factory in farmington. opening is tonight. wine, food, music. will be a nice distraction. seems i've been repairing our fences for forever. dogs still find new ways to get out. they always come back. but still, i worry. it's probably just an adolescent phase. i'm sure they will be fine, calm, stable dogs when they turn three. but that's two years away. and i'm tired.

we were supposed to harvest our hogs this weekend. but mother nature is in their court. it's gonna be in the 50s. not cold enough. they have their hooves crossed for warm weather next weekend too. dagmar's still holding onto his "christmas pig" dream.

and del ray is wishing winter was over already. but it's only just begun...

like a ghost thru the fog...

"and to those that i love, like a ghost thru a fog, like a charmed hour, and a haunted song..." - s. nicks

susan and kristi came to visit. it was so good seeing friends. catching up. sipping wine. being happy. jason made wonderful meals, fresh bread and wild berry cobbler. we bought antique hats, made an entrance at an art show, invaded a local winery, ate rita's chili, toasted a 67 yr old survivor, sent dinky dog off to her new home, and watched the sun set while the fog rolled in.

now they are gone. the bottles are empty. the sink is full of dishes. the dogs are sleeping. and the fog lingers as it has and always will. old timers say that for every day of fog in late summer, a day of snow that winter. it's been foggy for 30 days. i'm afraid.

me, kristi, emily (a 67 yr old survivor we picked up at the 12 west martini bar), and susan

GLOPs on TV.

i just got back from springfield, mo where i attended the "misery in missouri" exhibit/benefit. it was the first time my work has ever been on display in a gallery. i was stoaked! felt good to be acknowledged and to be supporting a good cause. came home to discover that jeliza rose made it on tv! you can see her portrait on the wall in the opening shot of this fox news story.

my first art exhibit!

i entered some of my photos into an upcoming art show called "misery in missouri" and one of my photos was accepted!! this will be the first time my work has been on display! the exhibit is to bring awareness to the deplorable conditions of puppy mills. and i would like to thank my gorgeous model, jeliza-rose for donating her time and face.
