finally! i'm selling yarn! right now i have two skeins of yarn (soon to be up on etsy). and i'm taking requests for custom orders. i can do mohair, icelandic wool, llama, angora and/or blends of any and all. my yarn is 100% natural, hand-carded and hand-spun using a drop spindle. each skein is a unique creation!

baby bunnies.

so apparently josephine and armel have been busy doing what bunnies do best. having babies! there are at least three babies that i have seen. josephine has installed quite a complex underworld full of dens, tunnels and who knows what else in which the children spend most of the day. one little baby (the spitting image of armel), seems to be the most brave and adventurous and therefore camera friendly.

i am a bit concerned about their safety. being small and curious. i have witnessed armel jr venturing out through the tiniest hole in the fence. granted the entire rabbit pen is lined with chicken wire that goes about a foot or so under grass all around the inside perimeter (to prevent rabbits from tunneling out). there was one small hole the little tike found. it has since been patched. but i know rabbits are clever and persistant. there is a possiblity they might plan another escape. however, in my heart, i believe that they deserve to live a life free from cages (as do all other animals on our farm). it is a risk. but one i feel must be taken for them to live life to the fullest.

now that the dogs can frolick outside, the rabbits have free run of the house during their weekly grooming. and my living room is transformed into bunny beauty shop.

the bianka bernadett guinevere flower pin.

my latest creation is the bianka bernadett guinevere flower pin which was commissioned by a good friend of mine and fellow blogger ann. the center is pure angora rabbit (guinevere), the petals are kid mohair (bianka from her first shear) and the petal tips are made of mohair from the rook farm matriarch, bernadett.

my first mohair item, the bernadett beret, sold today on etsy !!!! i am currently working on a mohair/angora flower pin. i'll be offering more hats, scarves, and pins soon. and maybe mittens. if anyone has any requests, let me know.

for christmas, jason gave me three beautiful french angora rabbits. i have named them josephine, armel, & guinevere. they are so much fun. and porkchop doesn't seem to "know".
