october means...

1. i've been a farmer for 2 years now.
2. it's getting chilly.
3. we got sheep to shear.

yes, we have kindly adopted 3 icelandic beauties from a friend's farm on nebraska/iowa border. being icelandic, they have been given appropriate names: nanna (goddess of the moon), hulda (fairy maiden), and einar (lone warrior). you can learn more about them on jason's blog. i'll just add, that they have lovely wool. i've already started spinning some from one of their aunties (graciously donated by their former owner, sherri).
