where the wild things are...

apparently wild things grow inside trees!

alexander the baby (who i suppose has been promoted to "alexander the toddler" but i like the sound of baby so we'll stick with that) visited the farm this weekend. the animals still love him and he still loves animals. if not even more that before. seeing the looks on children's faces really makes all the hard work here worthwhile. such pure wonder and amazement is contageous!

yesterday, the rook farm welcomed it's youngest visitor, alexander the baby. alexander showed true courage as he came face to face with grain-hungry goats, dirt-digging pigs, slobbering puppies, and the stoic but stealthy giant-headed donkey foal. alexander uses a technique he refers to as his "poker face" at all times as to never "let the enemy see you sweat". this technique also works to garner him extra chocolate and steel guitar serenades. watch out for this kid, he will steal your rootbeer.
