there goes october....

so october is almost over. i have no idea where it went. this has been the busiest week of my life, i think. but it's almost over. and i will have all of november to rest and relax and recover. i've decided to have a prophylactic mastectomy on the 31st due to all the recent scares i've had and the ongoing pain from a surgery last march. best be pro-active. why wait until something goes wrong? my oncologist is behind me. she says this will reduce my risk of a new breast cancer to about 2 or 3 %. plus i love halloween. and this way i'll already have my costume all picked out... a nice cotton hospital gown.

the boys might enter a local pet halloween costume contest this weekend, if i'm feeling up to it. they came up with some good costume ideas.... laurel & hardy, sonny & cher, gilligan & the skipper, and finally...chelsea & shade. we shall see.
