look ma, no fireplace.

tiling the front room came to a halt. the question arose, what to do with the fireplace? many of the white decorative brick tiles were cracked. fearing they would pale in comparison to the new porcelain floor tile, we decided to take them down. look at that mess we made! it seems like we keep taking a perfectly good house and destroying it! it's hard to imagine but it's going to look awesome when we are done. we found a beautiful amber marble to replace the white tile. the marble actually looks like a cross between wood and tigers eye. i've never seen anything like it. stay tuned for more.............
